Please, don't spoil the game for me as I haven't played it, though I rented it tonight and am hyped to start it tommorrow. So if the only way to answer my question is by giving a spoiler, refuse...please. I'll still try to give a best answer.

Anyway, I watched some gameplay on YouTube beforehand. What the hell is the little girl holding? I was talking about how cute she was, skipping and all and suddenly she freakin plunges the knife into a dead guy on the ground and stabs him repeatedly... :^0 What's going on? Is she evil?

MQ: Everyone talks about how violent the game is. I'm 18, female, and have played Resident Evil 4&5, Grand Theft Auto IV, Quantum of Solace, some Call of Duty, etcetera. Is it much worse than those?

she hold a thing called atom she is evil and its kinda more gory than the games u played theres phsycos in this game its really good

It's a giant needle that they stick into people's heads. muahaha They're doing something important. That's all I can say. You will love BioShock it's an incredible game.

The girl isn't evil shes just doing what comes naturally to her after what was done to her. If you explore a lot and locate a lot of the audio diarys this is explained very well.

awesome game! idk if there is a way to tell you whats going on w/o spoilers so i'll just say...do the right thing LOL, hopefully you will understand what i mean once you begin game play!

It's a "Adam" extractor. It's what is used in the game to give you more abilities.

Here is a little hint that will make your first play though more enjoyable... don't "harvest" any of them when you are given the chance. Let them live and get the good ending. I had to play though it twice because I did not know that... That's a awesome game and Good Luck!

It's not much worse than those other games. What she's doing is collecting a substance that you will grow to need. She collects it by extracting it with a giant needle from the bodies of the deceased. I can't tell you more without spoiling it, but what I can say is that the little sisters are not evil.

The little girl is holding a sort of syringe shaped into a gun.
It extracts a certain parasite inside the infected people's bodies.
(not mentioning name, you'll see... nvm, just noticed the guy above me mentioned the parasite was called Adam.)
The little girls aren't really evil, more like manipulated and taken from society to do dirty work.

BioShock is one of the earliest games that were released, so the blood and gore graphics are sort of weird, but it is very gory... like pipe wrench in the face gory.
