How can improve system performance while playing games?

Postby supercars » Sun Jul 26, 2009 7:48 am

I'm planning on buying a computer which I hope will be here sometime during December, and it's a high-end gaming rig to play high-end games,
and I've bought a bunch of games to play with on the new rig, BUT... I was so nervous to test them on my old machine. I already expected them to play slowly, but they are sooooo slow it is virtually unplayable.
My OLD System specs are:
Pentium 4 3.1GHz
1GB RAM
GeForce 8600GT 512MB
100GB Hard Drive

a stock apple can do a hell of a lot more than most high end gaming machines, now im not dissing Microsoft, im just saying that when you buy an apple, you are certianly getting more than what you pay for
