I'm trying to decide between Final Fantasy VII (around 45-50$) or Fallout 3 (50% off on Steam, so its $25).

So which one?

I am a great fan of Fallout and Fallout 3 is a really nice game. Excellent I would say. So I would recommend you go for it - you will ne be disappointed.

I would get Fallout 3...I love it! There is so much to do it that game and so many different ways to go through it that it doesn't get boring playing through it several times.

FFVII is a legendary game (And contrary to popular belief, is not as good as FFVI. Most of the people who say FFVII is better have never played VI. I'd say get an emulator and play it that way - it's free) but depending on what you're into...
Well, Fallout is an RPG-Shooter type thing, whereas FFVII is a now aged RPG.
If you're playing for the story, go play FFVIII. If you want to be a fangirl of cloud and sephiroth, go play FFVII. If you want a real game, play FFVI, and if you want good fun (but a bit of a learning curve) and good graphics, as well as a very good replay value, then play Fallout.
