Will my computer play The Sims 2 and all expansions?

Postby edifly » Tue Sep 01, 2009 4:50 pm

I'm abit clueless with computers. But i'm hoping this will be able to, its main specs are;

3.16Ghz Dual Processor (E8500 i think)
4GB Ram
NVIDIA GTS 250 1GB
500GB Hard Drive
64Bit Vista

I would like to be able to play The Sims 2, all expansions and all stuff packs at full everything. On my old computer, it slowed down a lot even when i just had The Sims 2 (fair enough it was an awful computer).
Will this run them all at high, with a decent frame rate ect?

Other games i would like to play are;
COD4
Fallout 3
COD WAW
Counter Strike
Football Manager 2009

Will i also be able to play those at full everything? Thanks ( :

I'm not quite sure about the video card, but the rest is great.

yes u should be able to run the sims 2 and 3 just fine but one thing im skeptical about or not sure if u were being to clear is the processor speed after u factored in the 75% increase because its a dual core or before if its before then u got a hell of a cpu nvr seen one that ran at 5-6 ghz on a home computer that is

You can test your system to see if it can run any game on this website:
http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/
This site will gather your computers specifications, and compare it to the required, and tell you whether or not you can run it, and show what needs improvement if you can't.
You have a high end computer, so you should easily be able to run sims 2 at full, the other games most probably too.

You will definetly be able to play the SIMS 2 for sure... I have a much worse PC and it runs it fine.

Im 99% sure that would be able to play everything on your list at full resolution and what-not. CoD might slow-down a little (I havent played those on PC) but it seems like your system should be able to handle it.
