I've HAd my Xbox for about 3years and i have a lot of good games like re5, cod4, cod5 Left for Dead, gears of war 1 & 2. Ive Been desperate to connect to xbox live for so long but i never knew how. I Have an xbox 360(of course) and a Netgear WNR834B router in my basement.(Look for a picture of it on google images to see what it looks like) My xbox is in my room which is 2levels from my basement. I Dont know if i have enough materials to connect to live. I have tried a Couple of things like moving my Tv and my xbox next to the router and using an ethernet cable and running it from my xbox to the router and that failed:( Then i tried using my friends wireless adapter close to the router in my basement and that also failed. I even tried using my moms laptop b/c i saw people do it on youtube and it failed also. Idk what the problem is!!!! i Guess i wasn't made to have xbox live. PLEASE HELP ME SOMEBODY!!!!!!!!!!!

it should be a problem with the actual xbox, there is no reason these shouldn't work. Go to the settings for the internet and see if it even detetects a wireless or wire system

well first i would call in xbox live and talk to them because i had the same problem just call them and someone will help you out with the problem the number is 1800-4-my-xbox they will walk you through intell you get it up and running

well i dont know if dis will help but what i did is jst connect da ethernet cord 2 my modem n registered which means make an account or jst buy da xbox live cards. its snot as hard as some ppl say.

Well im not sure what went wrong with the ethernet cable but when you tried the wireless router did you search for your network on the 360? Also have you confirmed that your router supports xbox 360. And lastly does your router have wifi capabilities?
