OK...
So I got the Sims 3 game.
I popped it in my computer, and once I tried playing it, a message popped up saying it can't find the video card, so they'll set everything high anyway. It was ungodly slow, so I set everything to low. When I tried to create a character, things went nuts; the body wasn't there, the eyes only showed, my screen flashed off and on and off and on....
Not a fun time.

-I've played Sims 2 with a handful of expansion packs, along with guild wars, and other games...thus I know games work perfectly on here...
-My computer isn't even a year old
-It's a Special Edition HP Laptop, HP Pavilion dv2000
-Memory: 4.00GB
-I have plently of room left on my computer.
-Vista. haha.
-Display Adapter: NVIDIA MCP67M

Any suggestions? Is the problem obvious and I'm just having a blond moment? Am I screwed? -_-' What should I do?

u wouldnt want to play anyway it sucks mine is put away in my cd case and im playing the sims2 with all the expansion packs =)

choose the sims 3 option from this website and see if it says there is a problem with the video

hmm yeah.. i just checked your Specs for the model you told us.. and i found out that your processor does not work well with the sims 3.. your processor can not play the sims 3 because it can not multi task..

i recommened buying a new Laptop with a processor of 2.9 Ghz+

that will take care of everything
