Is the Sims 3 really worth getting?

I have had Sims 2 for a long time now and have collected numerous amounts of their STUFF packs and Expansion packs. Should I go out and buy Sims 3, is it amazing and will it be better than Sims 2?

Sims 3 is completely enhanced with crazy stuff. It's so accurate with real life personalities and you can choose favorite food, enhanced personalities(like good sense of humor), challenges with households (like bug infested) and the collection of stuff has expanded to look much more appealing. Did you know you can click on your work? and click work normal or work harder? its so odd and much more experiences.
Aren't you bored with Sims2 yet?
You bought the expansion packs for a reason. To see something new. Well, here is another chance.
