I love the Wii,I've been wanting one since before it was released. But,recently,I've been wanting old gaming consoles instead. I'm getting a Genesis/Mega Drive,a Nintendo Entertainment System and Dreamcast. I recently brought a Nintendo 64,and I'll probably buy some GBC and GB games to play on a SP I want to buy.

I grew up with a Playstation,since my older uncle's only two consoles were a "Super Nintendo Entertainment System"(which only has 5 games,to date),and a Playstation.
I've owned Game boy Advance since I was around 6,but I've never liked it until recently,since I only had princess games and other girly stuff like that until recently.

I own a DS(original,not Lite),Playstation 2,GBA,and Gamecube.

May this be why I prefer older games? Because I never experienced them?

hehe i'm 17 and think retro consoles are incredible. looking at the number of truly great games by console the older ones have way more than the current next gen consoles. snes is my favourite console because it has loads of awesome rpg's

I am gonna guess you an early 90s kid?
That's normal. It was apart of your childhood, so wanting those games(and having them) brings back your childhood.
If you like the game, go for it! It's all about having fun!

I think that's it exactly. I grew up on Sega Genesis and N64, so i never really played NES or SNES. I'm 18 and i have a huge collection of old games. I like them way better than any new game out there. Old games are sick .

have you checked out the newer stuff because if you haven't, you will be amazed and will probably want it. I had the sega, N64, gameboy advance, and played ps2 everyday until my friend got an xbox 360 and i played it at his friends. It had so much more technology and more features like talking to friends that i just needed it right away and gave away my old systems. So if i were you, i would take a look at the new systems.

It's not weird that you like older games. A lot of people don't like new games. Look on the bright side though since you like old games you don't have to pay $60 for a game you could buy a game for your systems for like $5.
