I just got a brand new xbox 360 made in june of 09 and it froze when i pluged in the wire for the internet. The guy at the store said this will happen because your not supposed to plug it in when the system is on, because it has to search for the ip address and what not. The system is running perfect now i have been playing for a while and nothing is wrong seems fine. Is what the guy said logical?

yes you should connect all cables before switching it on(thats what i think)

Yeah, that COULD happen. But that usually wouldn't really matter, maybe it's just an Xbox360 thing. From now on just plug the Ethernet cable in before you turn it on, it's that simple.
